Maybelline's Hooked on Pink: Which Season?

My mom and I went makeup shopping yesterday and I was looking for a good, every day lipstick. We were looking at Maybelline Summer Sunset and Hooked on Pink. The latter did a better job of clearing the skin, so we went with that one. Once in the car, I tried it on and it did seem to clear some blotchy-ness away. It also seemed to whiten my teeth (always a good thing). I decided to look in your blog to see if the colour had been mentioned and it had, to my surprise, in Dark Autumn. Would it work for any other season? I've never really considered Dark Autumn before (or any dark season).

I do indeed have Hooked on Pink on my list of recs for Dark Autumn. But I don't know where I got the rec from. :-(

Erin adds, "Since I sent the question, my mom and I are also considering that I could be a Bright Spring as well."

Feedback, readers? Any experience with Hooked on Pink? What's your season, and how did it work for you?

I am not sure if I am deep winter, but I must be because some ladies have guessed it for me, and I have a complexion similar in color to Freida Pinto and/or Halle Berry. I am confused, because my complexion is rather neutral than warm or cool. I might be deep winter with some "flowing into" deep autumn, and I really don't like Hooked On Pink on me--it dulls my face a bit, while Summer Sunset brightens it (I don't like the frostiness of SS though). My favorite Maybelline shade is Very Cherry. My favorite lipsticks of all are Revlon Abstract Orange; Bobbi Brown Roseberry; Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood (very winter, I know!); NARS gloss pencil in Mexican Rose; Shiseido Orange 418 Daylily; Wet n' Wild Purty Persimmon; Covergirl Lip Perfection in Burn and Fairytale--all of these brighten my face rather than wash me out. Have any insights?

I Have Hooked on Pink. I am deep autumn and this lipstick is really flattering on me. I know it's been long, but my suggestion is to try another lipsticks from Deep Autumn like Revlon Rum Raisin or Maybelline Warm Me Up. That's when I am really sure about my coloring. Another lipstick that I like is Milani Plumrose. It's quite similar to Maybelline Hooked on Pink.
