I can't say enough about this beautiful handmade jewelry. I'm writing about it because I had the opportunity this summer to see it in person.
I had no idea what went into making jewelry by hand. It's frankly awe-inspiring to hold one of these in your hand and think about the fact that the person sitting across from you made it. The silversmith who makes this jewelry, Linda Groom, is so talented. This is the kind of jewelry you own forever; it's flawlessly crafted, it's heavy -- it's real, you know? One of the things I really respect about Linda's jewelry is that she has a consistent aesthetic you can feel across all of her pieces. Blunt edges, earthy materials, organic shapes, and hammered finishes embody the Natural style type. If you're a Natural blend, there's a piece in Linda's collection that will resonate with you.
I love this bracelet for a Natural with Ethereal and Classic elements, a "Preppy Bohemian." The glow of the silver, the slender, gently curving lines, and the overall color scheme add Ethereal; the regularity and balance make it fitting for a Classic as well.
This gorgeous bracelet is good for a Natural with a strong Romantic influence -- a "Babe Next Door." Romantic comes in through the rounder shapes and the deep purple color. I love this bracelet. It's abstract, but dainty and playful too. It's great for a Natural with Ethereal and either Gamine or Ingenue essences. These are gorgeous earrings for a Natural with some Ethereal and Ingenue influences -- a"Flower Child." This is a beautiful bracelet for a Natural with Romantic and Classic -- "Today's Southern Belle." The cuff's overall symmetry adds the Classic element. These earrings would be lovely for a Natural Gamine with some additional feminine influence (Romantic, Ethereal, or Ingenue). I love these for a Natural with Romantic and Ethereal -- a "Glamorous Gypsy." Romantics are great with big, round shapes; the cutout here adds a mystical quality. Linda makes knives too; can you believe it? So incredibly cool. I wonder what types you think her other pieces would suit? Check them out here, and let me know in the comments.

Jewelry is super helpful for envisioning the different IDs, as "not me" is so obvious, jewelry being close to your face.

That purple NR bracelet and the ENG/ENI bracelet are seriously exacerbating my Natural envy. I wonder if I could get away with it with 10% N if I was neat in the rest of my appearance...for once...

They are all gorgeous. I always love Natural jewelry. My self assessment has me at Ethereal Gamine Ingenue and for me that seems to be mainly Gamine with light colours and rounded edges. I would probably wear many of the earring options given that they look arty and geometric though not too sharp. I can't pull off many accessories or chunky ones well but do well with a funky earring.

I hope I am not being too off topic, but I was thinking back to previous mentions of how style types can be differently perceived by each culture--after all, we live in a wonderfully diverse world.

I agree and, yes, I have thought about this before too! (LOL I thought I was crazy for thinking so philosophically about the archetypes :) Oh and I love seeing doppelgangers exactly like what you linked, especially ones of different races or genders. Beauty exists everywhere!

imo Zoe Kravitz is an Ethereal Dramatic Natural.

I really like the jewelry but I especially love the way you "typed" them. I'de love to see more articles in that kind, showing which pieces belong to which style-types. I'de find it super interesting to have leather jackets typed like that, for eg.

That's intriguing; I wonder what the opposite means, then, as for myself, sleeveless just feels wrong, someow (especially sleeveless tops)..? Even when the clothes otherwise flatter my body...

Thanks for your reply; I feel I definitely have at least I and E, which seems to explain the sleeveless not being good...

Lovely jewellery, though a bit too N for me; but isn't all jewellery handmade...? Admittedly I don't know a lot about jewellery-making, but I didn't realize some of it could actually be machine-made...?

It's OK. I probably just suck at this. I just tried holding her face above the pics in the different boards and EDN seemed to fit better. I hadn't looked into it in any detail. Makes me wonder whether I've got my own type wrong though :/

You know what, I see it now. I was using a pic of Zoe where she's dressed and styled, as you said, too intensely and so her RNG wasn't shining through. When I look at pictures of her with more natural make up she looks sexy but still cute and approachable.

Don't put yourself down like that, Ella! I think you must have a bit of knack for analysis, because you were right about the levels of 2 masculine essence & 1 feminine essence- EDN is just a different combo of that. That's more accurate than I guessed! Probably why Rachel (and Katja) get paid the "big bucks". They are pros ;) Also, I hope I didn't sound aggressive or too on my soapbox yesterday. I'm a idealistic chatterbox IRL and I notice that translates into my online conversations as well.

Nicole, who are you? :) I like to read you. I like the Rachel post but these examples were too easy for me :), probably I became PRO in that matter :) I was expecting something more complicated, blends wouldn't be so obvious and more difficult to sort out, probably :)

That's great to hear! I definitely consider myself a beginner style analyst. Just getting into the hang of it! And who am I? Haha... JN, if I'm answering that honestly- I am a Christian more than anything! That's where my philosophy resides & becoming a dedicated Christian is singlehandedly the BEST decision I've ever made or ever will make for the rest of my life!!!

Nicole, thanks for your kind and inspiring words. Yes, my quest to find my style type is all part of a journey of self acceptance. I'm guilty of wishing I was like everybody else but myself at times, so it's a case of saying 'no, this is you and that's OK'.
