Soft Summer is on the border between Summer and Autumn. Summer is soft, cool, and light. Autumn is also soft, so adding Autumn to Summer makes Soft Summer's colors even more faded. But Autumn also brings warmth, which adds a brownish element to the colors. And Autumn brings depth, so Soft Summer's colors are the deepest of the three Summers'. 

As a Soft Summer, your very worst colors are bright. Some of Cool and Light Summer's colors will be too bright on you. You can successfully wear deeper colors than the other Summers.

If your hair or eyes are brown, you may think you look good in black (though you'd actually be better in charcoal). If your hair and eyes are especially dark, or if your skin is olive, beige or brown, you may have been told you're a Winter or Autumn by people who think all Summers are fair and blue-eyed.
